RIDE THROUGH THE WILDS OF LOWER MICHIGAN’S LARGEST PARK, WHERE PRISTINE FORESTS, ROLLING GLACIAL TERRAIN, AND SPARKLING LAKES PROVIDE A BREATHTAKING BACKDROP FOR THE GRAVEL CYCLING EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME.
Given Waterloo Recreational Area’s glacial history, the bike courses will vary from rolling hill climbs and swift descents to winding curves and rare straightaways. Some roads will be paved. Others may be patched. Most will be dirt and rock. Expect to get dusty. Expect to get grimy. Expect to have the time of your life!
100K: 2 loops that wind through Waterloo’s more than 20,000 acres.
50K: Condenses the best that the 100K offers into half the distance (one loop)
10-mile non-competitive, untimed: a little bit of everything!
All courses run counterclockwise, turning left onto Seymour Road from Portage Lake, then right on List.
Take your pick between 100, 65, 50, or 25 mile routes of mixed terrain cycling adventures featuring several checkpoints stocked with donuts. 100 milers will roll out at 8 am and the rest will roll out at 9 am on Sunday, May 7, 2023. Ride check-in begins at 7 am.

YOU MUST register for the unbound lottery at the Unbound site!
“To be unbound is to be untethered and unrestrained. The term’s pre-12th century origins illicit notions of liberation and escape. Those who are unbound embrace life without limits or restrictions. The word owns many definitions and derivations, but each one ultimately reaches the same finish line.
To be unbound is to be free.
It’s the spirit that 4,000 riders bring with them to the Flint Hills of Kansas for one weekend each spring; the spirit of an event that began with 34 participants in 2006 and now stands as the “World’s Premier Gravel Event.” And so it is fitting that the event and its organization, the one embodied by a limitless ethos that calls Emporia home, now has a name to match its ferocious spirit.” -Emporia Gazette
The Dirty Donut is the first event of its kind held to be held on dirt roads. It offers three different distances of races, 10, 22, 41, and 61 miles, and welcomes a wide variety of cyclists. Everyone from the very serious racer to those that just want a fun riding experience have a place at this event. Serious racers will opt for the “Sprint” race, which is conducted much like any other gravel race and the winners are the first to finish. “Donut” racers will opt for a bit more strategy in a race where the winner is often times not the fastest rider, but the rider who can combine speed with how many donuts they can eat. In the Donut races, each race distance has “donut stops” positioned along the race route. Participants deduct five minutes from their final finish time for each donut they consume at one of our “donut stops” in the race.

We feature a 10 mile trail ride great for the whole family or those new to cycling. This route also has a guided ride with a leader that leaves at 8:30 am. In addition to the trail ride we have a 29, 46 and 62 mile road ride for the more experienced rider. The unique feature of Everybody Rides is our routes allow you to add on more miles if you would like while riding. All you have to do is do an extra "loop" or two depending on how many miles you would like to ride!
NEW THIS YEAR - You spoke and we listened! The 29, 46 and 62 mile route will be reversed for 2023. The same beautiful route but the challenging hill will be in the beginning of your ride not the end like in years past.
As a reminder for for those new here, Everybody Rides is a fundraiser for Project Mobility. Project Mobility is a local nonprofit that provides the freedom of mobility to children, adults and wounded soldiers with disabilities through adaptive cycling.
Riding a bike may sound like such a simple activity but to those with mobility challenges (along with the hefty price tag of an adaptive bike) it makes it nearly impossible for them to enjoy the freedom of mobility without our help.
Adaptive bikes provide life changing mobility, strength, self-esteem and the ultimate freedom for children, adults and veterans with disabilities. Cycling restores the possibilities to those who are often told by society that their life is about limitations.
Join us on Sunday, June 11th to witness firsthand what we are all about at Project Mobility. Post ride we will have our Party in the Park with our Adaptive Bike Giveaway in addition to unlimited food, beer garden, live music, raffles and so much more!
Three routes, two county tours, one result: a painfully fun, must-do biking experience destined to find its way onto your June calendar for years to come.
2023 marks the 20th anniversary of the Horribly Hilly Hundreds. Once voted the "Sufferfest of the Year" by Madison weekly newspaper Isthmus, "The Toughest One-Day Challenge Ride in the Midwest" is not to be missed by serious riders anywhere.
Since 2003, Horribly Hilly participants have enjoyed a day of riding that results in an awe-inspiring accumulation of 10,000 feet of elevation gain in the Driftless Area of Wisconsin. Growing in popularity each year, the Horribly Hilly registration has moved to an annual lottery system to accommodate the swelling number of interested riders. A second and third route option beyond the original course were added in 2005 and 2011. How hard do you want to push it? Choose between the 100K, 150K, and 200K routes. The day is capped with a meal featuring quality local food and beer.
Approximately 1,200 riders test their mettle on southwestern Wisconsin‘s scenic byways each year in the Horribly Hilly. Join the ranks of an inspired community of riders for the premier cycling event in the Badger State and beyond.

The Swedish Days Ride is the premier cycling event in Northern Illinois and the signature event of the Fox Valley Bicycle & Ski Club (FVBSC). Now in its 53rd year, the Swedish Days Ride travels the quiet, scenic and relatively flat paved roads of rural Kane, Kendall and DeKalb counties, meandering through cornfields and through shaded thoroughfares.
The Swedish Days Ride offers five routes ranging from 25 miles to the iconic Double Metric Century (131 miles), providing a “just right” distance for cycling families to competitive athletes. The ride is fully supported with one centralized rest stop boasting AC/indoor facilities stocked with nutritional items served in a COVID-responsible manner, onsite morning emergency mechanical support and bicycle supplies, and roaming SAG patrol vehicles. With over 75 helpful volunteers, the Swedish Days Ride provides a superior riding experience to approximately 800 guests each year.
FVBSC donates 95% of the proceeds from this event to support organizations promoting safe cycling, education, advocacy, infrastructure development and cycling for people with disabilities, such as the Ride Illinois, Rails-To-Trails Conservancy, Illinois Prairie Path and Project Mobility. Our event has no affiliation with the Geneva Chamber of Commerce’s Swedish Days Festival.

Amishland and Lakes, based at Lakeland High School in LaGrange, Indiana is a two day bike tour of the Amish countryside and lakes of northeast Indiana. Amishland and Lakes is all about enjoying riding, viewing the scenery, and socializing with other riders. We have participants from age 3 to 93, families, women‘s groups, and regional cycling clubs from throughout the Midwest, and we have been told that the ride is very "tandem friendly."
The Amishland and Lakes bicycle tour visits a world where lifestyles have remained almost unchanged for over a hundred years. The routes range from 22 to 100 miles, offering smooth, quiet roads, where buggies are numerous and cars are few. There are wide open spaces, clean country air, friendly people and lots of great food. There is plenty to explore, experience and eat. Amishland and Lakes is famous for great SAG food (watermelons, peaches, blueberries, bananas and fresh baked cookies), and there are Amish bakeries, restaurants and homemade ice cream parlors along the route for riders who want to sample local “home cooking.”
We‘d love you to view a video taken by members of the Louisville Bicycle Club—Amishland riders for many years!
