January General Meeting and Presentation: Legal Aspects of a crash
Cycling and the Law: Protecting Your Rights
Attorneys Matt Johnson and Andrzej Brzoznowski will give a free presentation for the Naperville Bicycle Club on bicycle law, addressing what to do in the event of a crash from a legal perspective, and how to determine whether you need to involve a lawyer after getting hit. A Q&A session will follow the presentation, so that members can ask questions regarding their own experiences on the road and discuss the law in Illinois as applied to cyclists. Matt and Andrzej are attorneys with the Freeman Kevenides Law Firm – a firm focused on representing and advocating for injured cyclists, and the Illinois representative for the nationwide Bike Law network of attorneys.
